Last weekend was very special for all those who had participated in the Musicians Rally 2016 organized by the Ceciliarec creative studio, Kana band and the Commission in the Youth Affairs. Communication is an indispensable need of everyone, especially, when it concerns the creative people-musicians.

All the Christian musicians who wanted and had the opportunity to meet in the close atmosphere of creative coziness, to exchange their experience, to present their creativity, to learn, sing, pray, and to be together. There were 119 musicians altogether, including: bands, particular vocalists, guitarists, percussionists, pianists, violinists, and even bandura players from Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Chortkiv, Belarus, and Poland.

The rally took place as a part of the Annual Music Course organized for 9 bands by the Ceciliarec studio. This time, the musicians gathered at the Retreat Centre of the Basilian Fathers in Bryukhovychi (next to Lviv). The musicians invited were those from Poland, in particular, the well-known Cudzich family. Their younger generation and their friends easily shared their professional experience.

The musician rallies were initiated by the School of Christian Life and have lasted for 10 years with short breaks. The organizers of this year’s rally continued the good tradition, adding certain amendments.

“The rally is organized at the top-level. Every participant of our band has found something new and useful. A long time ago, we wanted to invite professional teachers for our band to improve our skills, and, at this rally, all the professionals gathered, and the only thing we needed was to approach them! We plan to continue our studies with Ceciliarec MK organizers, and we are happy that we have received a lot of inspiration because of this event. I have participated in the lesson on the variety of art in order to learn ‘singing as talking,’ to learn using my vocal means. As it appeared, it was easier for men than for women, therefore, we need to work more.
We had the great opportunity to show up as a band, to see others, and to learn how to develop further using their example during the Celebration Concert on Saturday. We performed a few songs together with the band from Poland and all the other musicians and singers. It was superb!”
